PBIS
The
PBIS team is once again organizing for a final, gigantic Horseshoe Hooray Store
on Friday, June 3rd. We are looking for donations to help make the
store great and allow students to redeem their earned Horseshoe Hoorays. During
the month of May, you can send any new or gently used "Summer Fun"
items to the office such as: balls, games, books, crafts, Frisbees, chalk,
bubbles, etc. We appreciate your help!

Mann Student Council Service Team
April 5, 2016
The Mann Student Council Service Team is sponsoring the MathAThon to benefit the
students of Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Students are welcome to participate in
this program to improve their math knowledge and help the kids at Saint Jude. Mann School
has successfully participated in this event for the past nine years.
Students must first complete the permission slip and get parent permission to participate
in this event. This is due to Mr. Hayward by Friday, April 15, 2016. Please indicate if you would
like to complete the workbook or online version. Students who select the online version can
begin completing their problems right away, while the workbooks will be delivered about a week
The next step is to get sponsors to pledge per problem or an overall amount for
completing all of the math problems. You may utilize the MathAThon Portal that has been
setup for our school at www.mathathon.org to take pledges via credit/debit card online. Make
sure you select the Horace Mann School in Oak Park, Illinois. The final step is then to collect
pledges you have raised although pledges may be collected throughout this program. All
pledges are due by Wednesday, May 18, 2016, in order to get our prize order delivered before
school is out. The students can elect to not receive a prize and have more of their donations go
Students will be bringing home a pledge envelope with permission slip today.
Throughout this program please contact Mr. Hayward (jhayward@op97.org) or Ms. LaHucik
(alahucik@op97.org) with any questions that you might have regarding the MathAThon.
Thank you for your support of this program and the Mann Student Council ServiceTeam.
Sincerely,
The Mann Student Council
Service Team
